“this is where I want to be”

Adelaide Fringe 2020, you stole my heart. How 4-6 weeks can change your whole entire life, still to this day is mind blowing to me, but trust me when I say, it changed everything for me. Fringe 2020 taught me more than I can put into words, but the biggest lesson I learnt was to trust my instincts.

When you get that niggly, bounding feeling inside of your body, the one telling you to run as fast as you can and chase your dreams, that’s when you know you’re hooked. This short period of time introduced me to a world I had only dreamed of.. performing, dancing, costumes, glitz and glamour, flying through the air, calloused hands, being thrown in the air, free falling, cute boys ugh, the list is never ending.

But this is not your typical dream, this is a dream only some will experience in their life. The weird ones, the wild ones, you know exactly what I am talking about. You know that feeling of wanting to chase the circus life. It’s so consuming.

But I have to be honest, I wouldn’t be where I am without some special humans, the ones who allowed me to spread my wings and fly, the ones who guided me whilst I searched for myself. Listo Trapeze Company. Jack Peterson and Jordan O’Brien. My family.
